Franz Josef Land
The archipelago is located on the north of Spitsbergen and consists of 191 islands, 83% of them covered with permanent ice. The southern coast of the archipelago is within 700 nautical miles from the start of the voyage, the port of Kirkeness. Franz Josef Land is home to Polar bears, walruses, seals and a great variety of Arctic birds, all of them are likely to be seen all over the archipelago. This is a unique expedition to a remote and very little explored part of the globe. Our aspiration is to visit historic sites and to learn about the wildlife of these astonishing islands.

North Pole
Our aspiration is to reach the “Top of the World”, visiting historic sites and learning about wildlife on the way to the North Pole, where we shall come across walruses’, seals and birds’ rookeries. Polar bears might get curious enough to approach the icebreaker to examine it from a very close distance. Sometimes they rise onto their rear paws, coming very close to the boards of the ship, when she is standing in the ice floes… It is Zoo vice-versa – when animals are studying humans…Remote and difficult to reach, the North Pole has lured generations of explorers on voyages full of adventure and discoveries. It is only at the end of the second millennium that nuclear power has enabled man to reach the top of the world without the dangers faced by earlier voyagers, yet with all the spirit of adventure inherent in their quest.

Pearls of Russian Arctic
The islands of the Russian Arctic are one of the few places on the Earth that we can call “terra incognita”. The Russian Arctic is alittle explored, out-of-the-way place, and at the moment is almost unknown to the tourists. During the expedition aboard powerful arctic ice breakers we will have the unique opportunity to be one of the firstto acquaint ourselves with these most beautiful of islands.
